Orlando is one of the world's top tourist destinations. This means that at times it gets very busy and crowded. If you are planning of visiting theme parks and restaurants then missing the busiest times is advisable. Orlando is great fun when it is peak season but you need to be okay with long lines and vast crowds.

  • Between Thanksgiving and Christmas
    • The quietest time of the year is the month of December up until December 25th. The crowds have all gone and you can also find good deals.
  • September, October, November
    • Other than Thanksgiving at the end of November these three months offer great weather and trouble free movement around Orlando.
  • Thanksgiving
    • The start of America's Christmas Shopping season is also the third busiest time to be in Orlando, making this long weekend at the end of November a very crowded time.
  • January, February, May
    • Avoiding any holiday weekends these three months are the third quietest times in Orlando.

When not to visit Disney World Orlando

There is no such thing as worst time to visit Disney World, it is just that the parks are very busy at certain times of the year. If your vacation falls during these times, please be prepared to expect huge wait times at attractions. Some visitors find these wait times acceptable considering that the attractions and activities are more festive at certain times such as Christmas and New Year.

  • Christmas to New Years
    • The very busiest time of the year in Orlando is the week between Christmas and New Years day. The combination of holiday period, warm weather, and special parades and events draw huge crowds.
  • Easter Holidays
    • Second to Christmas are the two weeks either side of the Easter Weekend. As this holiday moves around it is worth checking when it falls.
  • Thanksgiving
    • The start of America's Christmas Shopping season is also the third busiest time to be in Orlando, making this long weekend at the end of November a very crowded time.
  • The Summer (June, July, August)
    • Although the first week of June and last week of August are a little better, the whole of these three months is a very busy time in Orlando. Additionally, the summer brings the hottest temperatures of the year, making the long time waiting in lines at theme parks more frustrating. The crowds are even more during the weekly of American Independece Day, July 4th.
  • All other American national Holidays
    • For all holiday weekends that do not fall in the above categories you should also be wary of the huge crowds. Presidents Day is probably the most notable due to the pull of Orlando in the Winter.
